"Political leaders emphasize the importance of building a power base: allies, networks, coalitions" (Bolman & Deal, 2021)
What is Political Frame:
The political frame of an organization is characterized by power struggles, conflicts, alliances, and personal interests that shape decision-making processes within the boundaries of said organization. The presence of politics is inherent in all human organizations as their members, driven by self-interest and personal beliefs, advance specific decisions, and actions. Due to differing values and interpretations of information shaped by these beliefs, advocacy becomes essential for organizational support. In the case study performed for Pro-Seminar I, these dynamics were demonstrated through power imbalances, tensions between employees, lack of communication, and subjective decision-making criteria. Understanding the political frame is essential for effective organizational management as it allows leaders to identify potential challenges and implement strategies that promote fairness and cooperation among employees.
